Well I like Belgian beers cuz ya, i live here, but you guys should all defenetily try this beer that is only made here in Brussels due to the atmospheric conditions, Kriek. It has a cherry flavor, but thera are many varations of it with straweberrys and other berrys also. So goodddd, no bitterness or nothing. After that i would choose leffe, blonde and brune, about 8% alcohol and hoegaarden blanche. Belgian beers are quite good, I myself am not a big beer fan.

I have tasted a beer which you have just described...a "woman's beer". It tasted of berries and was very tasty....My friends and I couldn't get enough of it, and came with a huge bottle.
I have also tasted a beer which was brewed in, or with champagne...which was also a tasty experience...These beers could be taken luke-warm, and they were not served chilled...

Hahaha, yeah many people think of it as girly beer

But what can i dooo, is just so sweet and tasty, plus many males drink it here as well, and furthermore it takes a real man to wear pink and like that it takes a real man to drink and appreciate Kriek :p. But Miss Apollo now you let the secret out ahhhhhhhhhh,

In no particular order:

Guiness (Irish and an excellent stout), Tagus (a Portuguese malt), Corona (great Mexican lagger), Leffe (Bruin?? ...Belgian stout), Coral Stout (Portuguese and very hard to find since it is brewed in the Madeira island) and Tuborg (Danish pilsner).

if i would be democratic, becks is included, for democracy sake.
in case i would not be that democratic, becks is not included, because i do not prefer it with top priority.

now, this leads to the question if japan is a democratic country.

and, should i include "sake", because many japanese enjoy "sake"?
even if i am not looking forward to join drinking, only eceptionally for social reasons. means, "sake" partys are not hold on my own premises.

but, to refuse a firendly invitation, for an occasion caused by fortune for a company?

i ask, you answer :-)

if you include "sake" in a BEER BRAND poll because many JAPANESE ENJOY IT, then you can include becks too, since its is a BEER and many GERMANS ENJOY IT.

well what the i heck i dont care anyways :)

Falcon Bayersk! No other beer I've tasted have such a wonderful aftertaste. Other than that, it usually is something like Staropramen, Starobrno, Carlsberg or Heineken. And sometimes something obscure brand the pub has to offer, that I won't remember the day after.

I'm a Guinness drinker (once descibe to me as black Irish swamp water). My cousin in Canada tried it once and said it was one of the most disgusting things she had ever tried. She has no taste. A nice bitter is draught Bass and as for a lager/ale type I do like Budvar.

i like most.
Hoegarden and Corona are up there at the moment (Belgian and Mexican)...both of which should really be served with a wedge of lime.

Guinness and Boddingtons are very nice and full-bodied
There's a Celtic beer I had in vancouver that I could (and did) drink all night
Pretty much any local beer I tried in Canada was good and flavorful. Local beer in my area is also pretty good. other good strong beers are Fat Tire and Arrogant Bastard Ale.

In Japan I prefer Asahi Super Dry because it's the only beer with a distinctive taste, sapporo, kirin and suntory malts all pretty much taste the same. The best beer I had there was Bison Beer, by far. it's not very cheap though. I also liked Hoppy until I found out it was pretty much non-alcoholic, which is why it's mixed with shouchuu... doesn't really qualify as beer though.

A nice bitter is draught Bass

I like a nice pint of Bass. For some reason my father-in-law finds it amusing that I drink pints of bitter. I used to drink Guinness too, until it gave me food poisoning one time. Now I can't touch it.

Belgium is good for beer, providing you like lager. They have all kinds of weird beers in funny shaped glasses on racks. You look like Dr Jekyll when you drink them.

I'm extremely partial to Samuel Adams, on draft if possible. There are a couple of 'American' bars in Sapporo that sell imported bottles (at an extortionate price).

Belgian beers are extremely good. I really like the one called Raspberry Lambic Beer, kind of like the one Duo had mentioned a while back, it has a very nice balance of sweetness and tart. It doesn't taste like beer at all, and unlike many other Belgian beers not too strong either.

I've been to Ommegang brewery in Cooperstown NY, they use hops grown right in the field behind the farmhouse where they brew their beer. I was very excited and ended up buying a case of their strong beer.

I love Belgian beers too. especially the beer brewed with berries.....Duo and I agreed that it was "lady's beer"...

A week ago I tasted a Belgian beer called KWAK - however, I didn't find this one special...it was not worth the money I paid for a bottle (it was very expensive).....

I'm so jealous. Remember Guinness is good for you.
Budvar has nothing to do with American Budweiser. Budweiser is a Czech beer that the American brewers use for their brand name. There was some legal trouble a few years back when the US Bud tried to sue the Czech bud for using their name. They backed off when the Czech mentioned that they had been using the name Budweiser long before the Americans started brewing Bud. Budvar actually tastes of something, which is more than the US bud does.

There is a beer called "Elephant beer" from Carlsberg. This is strongest beer (7,2%) from Carlsberg and I am NOT fond of it.

Just came back from trying some Balkan beers. Birra Tirana is like the Albanian Capital's main one, nice taste. Also the Slovene beer Lasko is pretty good. Speakin of slovene beers they had some very nice ones that were like with tequila and another with lime called ICE smth, that was like the sweetest thing I have ever tested. It was like a lemonade with lotsa suga and the alcoholo couldn't even be detected, so good....
