Mother Nature has struck down some of our fellow passengers on Spaceship Earth. Let's hope the death toll doesn't climb too much higher.

Death Toll Much Higher

Seems there was a school with a couple of hundred kids hit and a meeting at a town meeting hall with some 300 folks in attendance also hit. Those 500 or so and some 400 more are missing.

U.S. Marines are moving into the area to help. I think we may need to start thinking about donations. No news yet on who to or how to donate. If anybody hears anything, please post it here.

NHK will start accepting donations at their offices from tomorrow, the 22nd.

Also Postal Remittances can be used. Account number 00110-2-5606 and it must be made to the Japanese Red Cross with "Philippine Landslide Victims" written on it.

I have nothing for other countries, but I'm sure the info is on the Net. Now it's here for Japan.
