Yes I agree with the previous posts. There is no need to be embarassed when people invite you to their homes, though; if you want to make it up to them just get them a bottle of wine or something. Enjoy!

I've been to some of these places. Make sure you swim a lot and also go outside the "tourist" areas if you want to meet locals and experience the life there. For instance, Athens is a lot more than the Parthenon and Monastiraki. Try to find about music festivals, exhibitions etc there, there are...

Ooops! I am a greek myself but I love Italy, so it's difficult to be objective. Here is an idea: I don't know how much time you've got available, but, if you cannot make up your mind, why not visit both? You can get very cheap flights from Rome to Athens (check easyjet). Hope that helps!

I agree with Angela, most places in Italy (or the world, hihi!) are great for kissing, as long as the mood is right. I like your list though, it's very carefully brought together!
