@kingjohn I came across SZ18 on FTDNA as a very distant match under E-PH2818, and then I thought about your posting from a while ago. SZ18 is of course form a paternal Longobard line, and looks autosomal a little southern admixed much CEU even a touch of FIN, what makes it very Nordic, and a shot of TSI, this comes near nowadays Northern France, Belgium, Western Germany.
And you showed this for Northern Italy:
What really made me think twice, because in my case the E-V22 is from a Frisian paternal ancestry. And during the migration ages people from also Suebi/ Northern Germany ancestry went to Friesland. So this makes it to a kind of alternative scenario. Because my pet theory was: it -E-V22- came with the Romans towards the Rhine. So always associated it more with Roman soldiers planting in Germania.... But the Roman border never reached the heartland of the Longobards....so mmmm
Thanks
@kingjohn !!!
