Cancer Breast Cancer on Rise in Men, Study Shows

I was surprised to read recently how breast reduction for men has become big business in the US. Guess it is all the sugars we eat that might be behind the growing problem. "Bosom buddies" http://www.trackyourplaque.com/blog/2010/10/bosom-buddies.html excerpt:

Strong bones and teeth linked with high testosterone and male fertility

Along the same lines of stronger bones and increased testosterone, recall this study on Dr. Cannell's sight. I suppose the larger skeletal man might be the one that hangs out in the sun frequently...

High testosterone linked to stingy behaviour

I guess on the weight lifting boards vitamin D3, the sunshine vitamin, has become a popular supplement for raising testosterone levels. D3 is misnamed as it is really a hormone or maybe better said a pro-hormone. I'm not sure how it works at increasing test levels, but remember this article...

In Italy, north–south differences in IQ predict differences in income,

Maybe along the same lines as Italy - in America, with our melting pot, there are discussions about what causes differences in test scores for school. Thomas Sowell had a nice article on this topic yesterday concerning a New York school that selects top students from the city. The make up of...

    Hotest month of the year

That would suck. I don't care much for the cold. Then again the frozen north is not sounding so bad right now. Our new place is in Florida, located on the gulf, soon to be touched with oil and maybe a hurricane or two. I almost feel I should apologize to America. I buy an ocean front place...

    Hotest month of the year

That's an interesting idea, planting trees for a family child born. I can handle that. Just bought a new home with decent room for trees.

23andMe 23andMe Sends Wrong DNA Test Results To 96 Customers

I see the FDA has now decided they are going to regulate genetic testing companies like the 23andMe. Great - that is all we need, government making the tests more expensive and difficult to get...

    New study on Jewish genes

Ah, interesting. Yeah, in my genealogy work, I ran across non jewish family members getting hitched. I think in general that was more common in the past, in western society. I'm guessing there wasn't the taboo that there is today. Thinking about it, I remember discovering that a great...

    Racial Humour, Funny or Not?

Strangely, in America what matters, if a racial joke is funny or not, is your political persuasion. Some will be attacked and vilified for racial funnies told, yet someone else could say the same joke, and receive laughs. There was a good example of the double standard this week when a...

    New study on Jewish genes

My brother in law is Ashkenazi Jewish and when my first nephew was born as a gift I researched our family tree. Of all the trees done, my brother in law's was easiest. Many relatives of that family married each other. As I joked with him, it was the tree that did not branch!

    New study on Jewish genes

Didn't seen anything about the Phoenicians. I just saw that article about German Jewish genes and though it interesting. I have family members that are Jewish, one is staying with us on vacation this week, and it was on my mind.

    American Time Bomb

Nice video. I'm not sure how much Americans are happy about Europe being focused on. We live in a world connected together economically. I think most Americans realize that we are in the same debt boat as Europe. But, yes, much like Europe, we certainly have big debt problems here too...
