    Mtdna J23

    I also have MtDNA J2b3. My maternal ancestors are from the Alcace Lorraine area of France (about 1800), and they immigrated to the US in mid 1800s. I had my DNA tested at 23andme. There are over 3000 mtDNA SNPS evaluated. I'm hoping to compare mtDNA snps with other J2b3 haplotype people to find more recent branches.

    I've also been curious of what various people look like with the same combinations of y-DNA and MtDNA- just curious. I know that we are all a large mix of many but I can't help but wonder about others of the "same type" of combinations.
