Trust - Antisocial

""You work a lifetime to pay your own tomb stone,
You walk like a robot in the subway corridors,
You'd like to talk without putting the blame on others
You'd like to give your eyes to justice as she is said to be blind
Antisocial you lose your cold blood
Antisocial coming soon the years of services as to speak the years of nursing homes or else""

Lips of an Angel: Best song i have heard till now. Its so true and so real. I cant stop listening this song.

Hi, hi... the first video was an interesting rock/rap Russian music :)

The second, of the Turkish-Armenian singer, I liked more, honestly... I liked how in this music you could feel the flavor of middle East blended... really thank you, Mzungu...

+++++++++++

Now that I remember, there is an Ukranian group that also sings in Russian... the next link goes to the "neutral video" of "Moya Voyna"...

... if you don't dislike so much military videos, here is this other one, more interesting...

Three songs from the White album, made in 1968 by the Beatles. One of the greatest album ever made.

Since I'm into traditional celtic folk I was curious for cultural links between celts and central asia .... and found Bashkir folk music. One should not be mislead by the yurtes and asiatic look of the people, today they are mixed with mongoloids. The melodies and arrangements are plain irish, with a mongol touch. Could that just be a coincidence?

The rock songs you've posted are very good, too! Thank you!
And if you forget about Yuri Antonov singing in Russian, he could be a typical German 'Schlagerstar'

Right at the moment Noize MC is one of the most controversal Russian artists, as he is basically the leading figure of artists in the anti-government protests after the last elections this december. Both in activity and style I think there is some comparison to 'Molotov' of Mexico in the late 90's.
And Hayko Cepkin is really stunning, for the same reason I've always been a big fan of the Armenian rooted band 'System of a Down'.

The melodies are almost pentatonic, typical for celtic and asian. I'm not aware of any other european folk music to be as pentatonic.

Example "Amazing Grace"
