    Somehow you've a good point!

    But maybe you also like the idea that the whole world should be dominated by 1 very powerful dictatorial state? Do you really like the idea that we all should to speak Chinese with each other? Maybe you just like the Mao's little Red Book?
    Huh? Who are you talking to? Me?
    Mao was a fascist leader, just like Stalin and Hitler.

    I believe in clans and families.
    I am an anti-nationalist.

    I believe in a Europe of the regions.
    Not in one European monster state.

    It's also in the Catholic principles, like "Rerum Novarum".
    Socialist and Catholic go together quite well in my region.

    Yes, toward you.

    Yes, clans and families are a great structure. But clans also must be united. Look at what happened to Scotland. They were not really united and eventually got dominated by English folks!

    Maybe is a confederation of regions / decentralisation (but under 1 state of same folks) the best option for you?

    I've got a question for you. There's a WC final soccer match between Holland and Germany. For which team are you (as Dutchman)?

    Imagine there is a disaster in your country. 100,000 people die.
    But it didn't hurt you in any way.
    Nor your family, nor anybody else you know.

    Do you really care? Be honest!!!
    I know, deep in your heart you don't give a damn.

    That's why it is possible to fight wars.
    A million soldiers died? Who cares.
    Of course there will be memorials and such to polish up the national identity.
    A theater. Phony tears. Drivel.
    I realy cared when there was war in my country , when my people died . There is some peoples in world that dont care when member of they familly die , I cant be like that .
    Nationalism isnt idea invented in XIX century , this is again Marx theory - comunism is romantic idea used by poor adventurers to get them in power and in money - Stallin , Lenin , Mao ,... Look at the ancient Greece they lived in hundred and some states , still they all know they are Hellens , and fight against Persia , when Philip Macedonian conquered Greece , he call aliance koine eirene - common peace - he unite all Hellens . They clearly know diference betwen Hellens and Persians , which wouldn be posible if there was not nationalism

    Mao was not fascist , Mao was real comunist have you ever heard of dictatorship of proleteriat and teror of working class over burzoasie and intelectuals . Read Marx if you are for him.
    I am also against monster state of Europe and for Europe of regions but this is only posible with national awarnes , because moment when we loose our differences( forget nationalism) is the moment when we all going to be same - and there is nothing left to stop forming of monster state

    Some things that make me proud of being Italian:
    - We descend from Romans, our ancestors made the Roman Empire;
    - America was discovered by an Italian (Colombo), Canada and Southern America were largely explored by two Italians (Caboto and Vespucci), China was first reached by an Italian and the existence of Japan was reported by the same explorer (Marco Polo);
    - Italy had a lot of geniuses (Galileo, Michelangelo, Majorana, Da Vinci to name just a few);
    - The first bank and the first university of the world were opened in Italy, respectively in Genoa and Boulogne;
    - The Renaissence and its magisters
    - our cuisines (every region has its own)
    - our classical musicitian, like Scarlatti, Verdi, Vivaldi...
    - Italian fashion (Gucci, Prada, Armani, Versace, Valentino, etc.)

    These are some things that make me proud of being Italian. Some things that make me ashame of being are:
    - Mafia
    - current politicians
    - Jersey Shore

    Please don't judge us basing on these latter. Italy is far more.

    You're right, and I'm still convinced that there are many Italian young people who really lift up the average, but we have to admit that Italian society is getting worse and worse. Inaccuracy, corruption, aggression and "bunga-bunga culture" are increasing too much. Every country has it's problems, but we are in bad times.

    I don't care. Let the best team win.
    I don't care football anyway.

    But if there is a team that I have sympathy for, it's Brazil.
    And also Celtic.

    I am a world inhabitant, and obviously non nationalistic.
    I like Brazil because of the Samba, and Celtic because they have an Irish style.
    So we probably share the same gene pool.

    Yes you are right. These days I am hearing a soft wispering from the opposition that Berlusconi's Age is going to its end. Is it true? My impression is that the young people is really sicked of him and want to change. On the other hand the born after 1994 are growen up in Berlusconian culture, so they are products of Berlusconi's TV and culture. The worst thing that Berlusconi did was not only change the way Italians do politics, but also our culture.
    Other negative inputs arrive from factors that are not linked with our politicians, but... I still think that they are the first cause of our degeneration.

    Don't despair Riccardo, it's not much worse than before, if at all. Remember Roman Empire?

    The first step should be to sack Berlusca from his glued-chair, because he's the first cause of Italian social degeneration, but unluckly this won't solve every problem; to build needs a lot of time, to destroy just needs a second...Then add the usual negative inputs that always grip Italy. We are preparing a dark future and, as young, we'll have to face a difficult life on every aspect. I think this is a common problem in the West World, but expecially for us. Maybe it's better to go abroad.

    Our problems have deep roots. Even the Church has taken position against Berlusconi becouse some believers who follow the Church have protested - so I heard - against the neutrality of the Vatican, becouse according to them Berlusconi and the current political culture is giving a very bad exemple to youngs. Politicians should be exemplar. I am very disgusted.
    All the bunga-bunga affair has sent just one message to youngs: that in Italy if you act like a slut you can make a career and if you are a rich man you can do whatever you want. This shall not happen: above richness there is the Law that should be equal for everyone.

    Yes, this is the way things work in Italy..."Our" televisions built a model: if you're beautiful (and ignorant too, why not?) just have sex with powerful people, so you'll have a great life made of television carreer, fame, money, drugs, discos, cars...And if you're a man, well, the most important thing is to arrive at the top, doesn't matter the way, everything is legal, because this is a jungle: so you'll have sex, beautiful and really easy girls, cars, etc.
    If you study and you "lie" saying that you're not jealous of this world, well you're just another of the communist cancers that grip Italy ahahahah. xD

    I guess I don't think I'm proud of my country... I like some things about it and dislike others. Why does pride have to get in the way, I don't understand.
