Can someone explain the peculiarities of this autosomal chart?

It comes from a study in 1998 and has several peculiarities. For one, it has Jordanians closer to S. Italians and Greeks than to other Middle Easterners, but it puts Sicilians near Basques and France, and Croatia near NW Spain, but NW Spain is nowhere near Central Spain. And additionally, Alpujarra, which is in Andalusia, pulling toward North Africa away from the rest of Spain. :confused:

Is this a reputable chart? It contradicts the large majority of other studies.
