Though it might be interesting to post various statistics for:

• GDP per capita
• Average Wage
• Unemployment Rate
• Human Development Index

There is alot of talk about crisis in Europe, some times its better to stop listening to the talk and look at some hard numbers. :unsure:

No matter clever country ranks statistics, only 4% of Italians say that they envisage working abroad at some time in the future
http://ec.europa.eu/public_opinion/archives/ebs/ebs_337_en.pdf graph in p.10 sorry, I didn't know how to copy it here :(

And quess who are ready to moove out of their country most?
all Northern people:
Danmark 49%
Estonia: 38%;
Sweden: 37%;
Latvia: 36%
Lithuania and Finland: 35%

It tells me a lot - life must be much better in the South...

I truly believe the reason why not more people want to emigrate to Northern Europe is climate and mentality. Try to imagine a country like Sweden, with same living conditions, but with a sunny and warm climate: the country would explode through immigration!

I think the most successful economic policy in Germany and Scandinavia. Others look pretty pale.
USA discredited by economic crisis and debts.
Japan, South Europe, Ireland in debts like in the silks.
China & India growing but their GDP per capita is very low.
Arabic countries on 99.99% doomed to depend on oil.
Such small countries like Luxembourg, Cyprus and Switzerland offshore zones and strongly depend on the corruption in neighboring countries.
etc...
