This style of singing is also common to Greeks and Aromanians,the
10th post's song from the Romanian Music is probably derived from it.
Another resemblance,with the Byzantine Orthodox music.

The starting section,especially, sounds like the typical Romanian flute.
It is the most complex part of the song, unlike the following(also similar,
except for the drums)who just keeps the rhythm.
