Were the Philistines Indo-European speakers?

I did not read the paper. I'm not googled to date.
But Bernard Sergent seemed thinking they were (Pelaistini) a kind of archaic Macro-Italic speaking people come from Greece, if I remember well. With some possible links with the Pelasges whose name with a -G- could be a popular mistaken etymology. Waiting more info.

My understanding is the the Philistines are from Crete and somehow migrated to that part of the world. Plus the name Philistines, resembles to word Φαιστός (Phaistos).

So as I expected, again a proof of my believes, (y)

Seren = tyrant maybe same with Serden of sea peoples,

I am still waiting the time that

Seren = Tyrant = Thyrrenian

:cool-v:

Could it be that the Sea Peoples, aka Hyksos, were people from Sicily, or Sardinia?
