Distribution map of Y-DNA in seven Ukrainian regions:

I would made also distribution maps, but I am yet to figure out the way they are made.

I am currently trying to obtain the data on the major testing that was done few years ago on 12 (!!) regions of Ukraine with around 1150 tested ethnic Ukrainians (=all known lineages are Ukrainian, rurals).

The map I posted in the first post is based on the same data, but I have information only for 7 of the 12 regions.

I have found a bad quality graphic of the proportions of all 12 regions in this article:
Utevska, O.M., Pshenichnov, A.S., Dibirova, H.D., Rootsi, S.,Agdzhojan, A.T., Churnosov, M.I., Balanovska, E.V., Atramentova,L.A., Balanovsky, O.P., 2015. Gene pool similaritiesand differences between Ukrainians and Russians ofSlobozhanshina on Y-chromosome data. Citologija i Genetika49(4), 40–50.

The most interesting thing I notice here is I2 majority in 2 regions - Zhytomyr (Житомир), which is Polissya (Polesia) and Chernivtsi (Чернівці), which is Bukovina. Also, if you add to the formula data from Dnipro (Dnieper) Polesians of Belarus, you can notice that I2 peaks all along Dnipro (Dnieper) river and also Prypiat and Dniester rivers

You are right, it was exactly specified in one publication that I2 is more than R1a in Zhytomyr Oblast. I am also trying to obtain that data, I know how this can be done, but a scientist should cooperate. If you ask the publishers Utevska et al. they have the data, they compute MDS analysis of Zhitomir and Chernivtsi, but decline to share it because it is unpublished. There is another way. I know from where the data of Zhytomyr is derived. There are more than 100 samples of Zhytomyr Oblast and more than 100 of Chernivtsi Oblast in the https://genographic.nationalgeographic.com/for-scientists/ Genographic database from where they are obviously derived by Utevska and her team confirmed by this link. http://genetics.univer.kharkov.ua/docs/genografiya.pdf

Here it says http://anthrohistory.ipb.su/lofiversion/index.php/t28
"Очікуємо на нові результати досліджень, проект "Геногеографія" (We are waiting for the results from Genographic project)

I know one member who provided the distribution in Albanians and Greeks in Genographic.

I suggest he may be interested in looking up for the lacking data of Zhytomyr and Chernivtsi oblast.

I heard there was a Serbian migration into Ukraine, forgot when it happened maybe 1 or 2 centuries ago and they settled mainly in one region so it could be that...
