Infiorata refers to Italian floral street art; it's done on the pavements. First you draw the design, then flowers are cut and sorted by color, and finally you fill in the design. In Liguria, thanks to our climate and our hot houses for flowers we do them for Corpus Christi. It's an incredible amount of detailed work all for a couple of days, but it's beautiful, and a labor of love for the participants.

I have to admit, though, that the ones from Spello in Umbria are more beautiful, particularly in terms of color, but then, it's done later in the year.
