Book Recommendations on Social Inequality

I am looking for more books on social inequality. The books have to be about what's happening in Francophone European countries. They can be written in French or English. Anybody has any good ideas?

I guess, you could also look at some economics books. Check the "Capital in the 21st Century" by Thomas Piketty (I guess since you live in France, you must have heard about it).
