I got a question about the MDLP k23b. I tested it to see if i could interet my myheritage ethnicity estimate of 7.5% finnish, and 1.1% Native amercan. The native part is probably archaic siberian. But i know of no finnish, or forrest fin ancestors. How do i read gedmatch results when i know of no known saami, finnish or other eastern ancestors?
At the k23b calculator, i get saami rather than finnish. It*could* seem more plausible, but still i do not know of any. Anyone who knows of what sample size was used, in the "swedish_saami" samples in k23b? and what region of saami was used? The saami where I live is the South saami. Is th "Sweedis_saami in k23b relevant for my purpose?
But I know of nothing but ethnic Norwegians among my ancestors.

What do you think of these? :)
What is interesting, it's hard to verify hidde ancestry, if Church records got no info, who could happen (ppl using double names, one Norwegian and one Saami, etc). Also, I assumed North sweeden would give false Finland/Saami ish results, but I have found no Swedes or Finnish. Only Norwegian ancestors in the records.

My northeastern European 4% autosomal DNA covers half of Sweden, northern Norway, all of Finland, the boardering area of Russia, and the Baltics. However, it does not indicate any Asian admixture in my autosomal percentages. Nor do I have any denosivan DNA. Could it be that it solely reflects the hunter-gatherers, Neolithic farmers, and Yamnaya?

Jovialis: Denisovan..
my Myheritage results don't look for denisov, but I have seen people of finnish heritage post results with denisov, though, Finnland isn't a denisovan hotspot.. Australoid or Papuan heritage is (one of the big companies gave my brother about a percent of australoid and one of papua ny ginea dna), and native americans of the amazon (only the amazon..). There is an interesting blog post "the men of the north: the Saami" where an scientist is criticized by the poster, with data from Pontikos, who I think is behind eurogenes. There the Asian, the Siberian DNA , by Pontikos is split. One goes north and east; the other is the "Asian" component you find in todays east Europe, hungary, and Turkish related Siberian peoples. Also part of the German-Scandinavian geenepool. If you google that link, and study the lower chart by Pontikos, you see the Saami isn't really close to the Polish-Hungarian aftermath of Attila the Hun altered the Germanic and eastern dna, by having his people settle. Purely for fun I ran deniov DNA on gedmatch trough k23b, almost pure ancestral human, but it matched "Saami" o_O (Garbage in-garbage out...). My dna, is probably having some unusal component, I do not know the origin of. But Norway as ethnicity without any saami or finn, is a "no denisovan" zone. And should have few with aboriginal or Papuan traces, and certainly you get some Siberians, but not the far, far east of the Saami, (Ket,Nganasian or Evenk related). More like Turkish or people from Iran. Id expect Saami to show both far eastern and the "common" Siberian components, as posted "ancestral Altaic" and "east Siberian".

My kit is A940330 i get alot Swede Saami thru MDLP K23b

Historically, lots of people tried to "pass" and there was official support for that. Fornorskingspolitikk was a real thing after all. And there may have been the occasional cuckoo in the woodpile. I doubt you can find any Norwegian without some Saami ancestry, if tiny.
