Insitome (Upcoming DNA test for Helix Customers)

I contacted Helix to figure out when they will be adding new DNA products to their platform, and they referred me to the partners page.

Among them, I found Insitome, which is actually founded by Dr. Spencer Wells.

The customer service specialist at Helix told me that new products will be available either by the end of this month, or in July. Since my DNA is already sequenced in the Gentek labs; I can get my results for Insitome instantaneously.

I will be looking forward to sharing the results, once it is possible.

I hope that in the future, Helix customers can obtain their raw analytical data (CSV file). Which unfortunately is not possible right now.

I hope they reveal how much Early European Farmer, Western Hunter-Gatherer, and Ancient North Eurasian admixture we have. I know FamilyTree DNA has a feature like this, but unfortunately we can't transfer our results to them. I believe they called it, Farmer, Hunter-Gatherer, and Metal Age Invader.


However, if its possible, I would like an even more detailed anaylsis of how much we are related to these other groups as well.

I spoke to a rep from the company, and he gave me a link to suggest ideas for DNA test results.

I submitted the proposal of displaying the percentages of Metal Age Invaders, Early European Farmers, and Western Hunter-gatherers, in a similar fashion to FTDNA.
