I will keep it simple , as I mostly do.. What is your most shocking TV moment?

Maybe it is a shooting in your town, maybe the death of Diana, 9/11 , Kennedy, or something else?c share your shocking moment if you want. And tell us why that is your shocking moment!!!!

Lot of shocking moment there has been , but I am just 20 years old. So the moment I choose is from 4 years ago , the 11th of September.. I can remember it really good, I came home around 4 in here it was, and I put on the tv.. Suddenly I saw a fire in the trade centre, and an airplane hit the other building.. I thought it was fake, a movie, so I zap to some other programs.. But it was real, it hurt me so much, even I am not an American, never been to America.. But I wasn?ft just about America for me, it was about the safety of our lives, and for the future.. that?fs why it hurt me , and I kept following it for 5 days long, almost without sleep?c

I have many more moments that shock me, but this is something I felt most close with!

For An Old Guy Like Me......

it has to be Kennedy's shooting. We were in Junior High and they announced his death over the intercom and sent us home. It seemed like I never left the TV for a week and soooo many people were crying all the time. The salute John John gave is inprinted on my mind forever. Everything seemed to change after that.

yeah this was really sad, and shocking, i just saw the Color video of it, where you see he got shot in the head.. didnt believe it almost

Another Shocking Part......

was seeing Oswald shot, live on TV by Jack Ruby.

Frank

In my lifetime, I'd say either the Challenger blowing up or when I was watching when the second plane flew into the second tower. I was watching CNN when the second plane flew into the tower, and they broke away, saying they'd be back when they found out what was going on...

to see the parents of Christa McAuliffe, watching how it explode .. that was soo sad..!!

If you dont mind, I would like to give my own personal real life shocking tv story... its not so serious so sorry in advance..

Anyway when I was from the age of 3-4 I did a road safety programme, and for some reason I finished first in the Country and had to go on TV. This was really exciting! I got to spin a big wheel whilst standing on a 50cent coin (for all the extra luck it gives), big bright lights! The little clapper thing! Oh the excitement! ...

...and what do you think I won? ...... yes, a Goldfish. SHOCKING

hahaha thats okay!!! but yeah that is shocking.. you would expect like a nice money cheque of 10.000 $ or something, not a Sweet small goldfish, with a memorie of just 2 seconds...

Yeah... and I loved it too much by over feeding it, only I wasnt aware that what I was feeding her was.... talcum powder! Her food and my talcum powder both were in blue containers with white lids. Poor Tinka she didnt live a very good life....

That must be September 11, 2001. Especially when the second place hit....I couldn't believe what I was seeing wasn't a film...I was shocked, especially when watching the people jumping to their deaths from the windows.....so shocking and sad....

I was only 7 years old when the Challenger exploded - I remember I saw it on TV, but it didn't make a deep impact in my life compared to the 9/11 incident...

My most shocking moment on TV had to be shortly after President Kennedy was asassinated. I had learned about it in school. I was in the fourth grade and we heard the annuncement over the loud speaker and then my teacher started to cry. I remember her saying we should light a candle and pray. I think I was a little too young to really know what was going on in the world. I just knew something terrible had happened.

On the weekend, I think it was, we were watching TV when they were bringing out Oswald escorted by a man in a white hat. Then he was shot by Jack Ruby. My mother jumped up and started yelling hysterically, "Oh my God, he was shot! He was shot!" and everyone in the house becoming excited and talking loudly. I remember staring at the black and white TV thinking, "was that man really shot by a gun?" It was the first time I ever experienced something like that and I still remember it to this day as if it was yesterday. What an experience for a boy 9 years old. Welcome to the real world kid.

It was watching the second aircraft fly into the South Tower of the World Trade Center -- no doubt about it: no other moment even comes close.
