The Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, was a 30-meter high bronze statue. In comparison, the Statue of Liberty in New York is 46.5 m tall, or over 50% taller than its ancient equivalent.

Yet, there are over 20 statues taller than the Statue of Liberty (see List of statues by height), mostly made of stone or concrete, and mostly found in Japan, China or Russia. 4 statues exceed 100m in height. The tallest in the world, the Ushiku Daibutsu near Tokyo, is 110m high, nearly 4x higher than the Collosus of Rhodes.

All this to say that the ancient wonders of the world would not be so "wonderful" nowadays.
