Hi! I was drawn to this forum since it included history, and I've yet to find somewhere on European history that isn't dead!

I'd like to know about how life was in the 1960s in England. While there's many reads on the internet, they don't give very specific (vague at best) information. While "the 60s was the start of a social revolution" is intriguing, it doesn't tell me about how people lived, how sanitation was, what people did for fun, what school was like, what kind of jobs were held, or what kind of fashion was worn!

If no one can really answer this stuff specifically, is there a good book I can read on this subject?

Thanks!

Not a very detailed answer, Im afraid, but England of the 60s was pretty much like the eastern countries just prior to the fall of the Soviet Union.
