I had my brother do an 67 marker y-dna test & found that he is R1a1. I'm now waiting for the subclade test to be finished. Our surname is Francis which after joining the Francis Family Tree surname board found that most are R1b's & English. Our closest match is with Johns/Tschantz/Schantz who was born in 1749 in Switzerland & who was a Mennonite who moved to Pa.
I am looking for a R1a1 or R1a y-dna database in English for Eastern Europe. In checking with the World Haplogroup site my brother is 63% Ashkenazi, R1a & 10% Norse. Since I have found only 1 match so far with the y-dna bases here I figured I would find more matches with an Eastern Europe y-database if available.
