In central and southern Italy (except lands inhabited by Greeks), the distribution of Haplogroup G matches the area of Oscan and Umbrian people.
In Portugal, we can see the same thing with area inhabited by Lusitanin people whose language share features with Italic language family.
In fact, those two cultures may have originated in the Bronze age around Halstatt in Austria where haplogroup G has its maximum in Europe
