I came across these 2 links which apparantely serve the EU in some modern capacity in regards to languages, but the real purpose was it has nice historical maps of languages ( 1st link ) and an April 2011 edition ( 2nd link )
I placed the first link because it has a preface on the EU policy and ALSO has visible maps, but the 2nd link is the latest version.
If some can get the maps to work on the 2nd one it will be much appreciated.
