Estimating the time of most recent common ancestor (tMRCA) for Y DNA J1b M365+ in Europe
The STR diversity between the different clusters is related to 1500/2000 years before present
That’s the period of the Fall of the Roman Empire. A rare haplogroup is connected with a unique event when a “Portal” was opened between the Caspian Sea and the Portuguese Atlantic Littoral.
Groups of Alans invaded Europe and brought new ideas and new haplogroups.
J1b was one of the components of that movement. J1b is a basal branch of J1, negative to the new Z1834 SNP(defining the388=13 clade).

J1 is present at extremely low levels in Europe, EXTREMELY. It's found at its highest frequencies on the Arabian peninsula and in certain more northern middle eastern locales such as Syria, southern Iraq, pockets in Azerbaijan and one or two Caucasus area tribes such as either dargins or the lezgins. It's also found in certain North African countries at much lower frequencies towards 10-30% from Egypt to Algeria, morocco , Tunisia etc.

Dude he is speaking about J1b, which is totally different than J1c about which u speak. U should leant than J1 is nothing, J1b is something E-M35 is nothing E-V13 and E-V22 are something. Maybe u think 50% of the Dutch which are R1b are the same, no,not at all it is 3 or 4 different R1b which come at a different time.

Most Dutch R1b is u106, its the highest S21 hotspot in the world

You are right even if telling things with some roughness: a SNP is never nothing, but it is MORE OR LESS INFORMATIVE: the more ancient, the less usefull for modern populations, and yet...
if I trust in Wikipedia, the most typical J1 in Europe would be Z1828>>L1189 SNPs close to Z1842 common in Caucasus-Taurus - but typical is not dominent, I lack more precise data about the J1 of Europe -
according to some surveys, some J1 in southern France show links with someones of Greece what is not surprising at all; Egean J1, << Anatolians became sailors?
