Hi
I recently purchased some Ydna tests 37 markers. Both test results wer posted together 12 then 25 a few hours later. then 37 a day later, other than my sons.

It is now 2 weeks since his 25 were posted. I have been told their is a Special value that is preventing the results from being uploaded at this time.

Now he has some low frequency alles results in his 12 and 25 results;

Marker
DYS393DYS390DYS19**DYS391DYS385DYS426DYS388DYS439DYS389IDYS392DYS389II***
Value1223141111-14121212131329

PANEL 2 (13-25)

MarkerDYS458DYS459DYS455DYS454DYS447DYS437DYS448DYS449DYS464
Value159-1011112515193014-15-16-1

can anyone in the know have a look please. He also has very few matches and only 2 matches at 25 2 steps different.

Thanks

So, your haplotype looks like R1b of some sort. The DYS393=12 is indicative of an Eastern European L11- subclade (ht35) rather than the more common Western/Central European L11+ subclade. Although, it's also possible that you just have a backmutation. Maybe an R1b expert will recognize your haplotype better than I can. In the meantime, I'd suggest you wait until more STRs come in to see the subclade of those you match. And if it's still not clear then, you'll probably want to take an L11 SNP test... FTDNA should be able to do that for you for much cheaper than your STR tests were.

There's a lot of convergence in R1b, so it's tough to tell your subclade just by looking at the markers, like I'd be able to do if you were I2 instead.

Thanks again Sparkey.
Isnt the dys 464
14-15-16-18 rare too for R1b

The russian predicator says its

R1b1b2 M-269 for this 25marker

N Haplogroup Probability
1 R1b1b2-M269 100%

note:
I have found this predicator to be 100% accurate in about 15 tests that I have made. While not as nice as athey's and cullens predictors it perfect for me
