it seems in one of the oldest linear B relics with modern methods scientists discover a new letter and a possible explanation

in a statue show a bull head in the head there was a tiny disc at a size of some mm
inside the disc there were 4 letters from which until today only 2 were known, a 3rd one came to light clear with new methods photograph and multi-spectrum analysis (πολυ φασματικη αναλυση)

the letter has the value Fe
so from the 3 letters the extract is τι+μα+η+?
supposing the last letter was also FE then we have a word τιμαηεις which means honorable gift.
the statue is from 1450 BC about and the most possible explain of linear B send us to a pre Homeric language
consider that the sound timafe? is near sound τιμηεις (homeric) then probably Linear B is a stage before Homeric and can help us find ancient forms of IE langauges

THE AMAZING WITH THAT INSCRIPTION is that the letters are 0,2 mm wide !!!! and 0,01-0,025 mm deep and height 1,4 mm !!!!!

that means Ancient populations knew micro-technology?
the one is sure is that even with a magnifying glass it would be difficult to be done since the need is a big magnifying glass and not the common ones we know.

also strange is the tool that did these writting.

simmilar technology has been found also in Athenean tomb and else where but lttle later .
Strange is that in Gold Silver and Copper we have Mostly LINEAR A inscriptions
while only 2 of Linear B in such metals, but we have in both same strange microtechnology !!!!!!

if the forth letter could be identyfied then the help would great.
since it would provide the extra sound that today are lost
just consider that if Homeric τιμηεις comaes from a sound like τιμα(φ)η(φει) (τιμα Fe Fe)
then words like tomb might not mean what today means, but Precious or Honorable !!!!

It has been found in Ikraina in Peloponese,
It is in a burn Mycenean palace
It is linear B
Estimated time of inscription 1350-1450 BC and older!!!!

it is made by clay, such relics are not eaasy to found cause after years in soil and rain they smash to primary ingredients,
but for this we were lucky,
It was burn inside the palace and become something like a brick,
that is also the problem of exact chronology,
yet the time above makes it until today the oldest linear B in Europe,
and is a time that maybe starts to puts the dilemma.

if we find older than 1700 BC written scriptures, then we might have new theories about Alphabet and its origin.
Until today with the time evidence we believe that Alphabet came to EUrope via Phoenicians (akkado-cypriots to me)
if we find more 250 years older then we surely speak that did not come from Phoenician but straight from minor Asia, Akkadia its shelf,

That makes Myceneans older than we believe,
remember that if you find Mycenean culture closer to 1750-2000 Bc we may even speak of a total new IE theory,

Unlike the much later Greek alphabet, which actually came from the Phoenicians, I don't think Linear B has anything to do with the Phoenicians (also, the Mycenaean civilization predates the emergence of the classical Phoenician civilization by several centuries).

Linear A is the oldest of these syllabic systems, dating back as early as the 18th century BC, but it was used for writing the (as-of-now) undeciphered Minoan language. One problem is that Linear A includes more logographic elements (that is, one symbol = one word), which even if we know what word the symbol stood for gives us no immediate information about the language itself (similar to Chinese characters / Japanese Kanji). In contrast to Linear A, Linear B uses far fewer logographic elements and is thus better readable.

As for the origin of Linear A, it may be related with the script used in the Phaistos Disc. It's also possible that it was inspired by the Egyptian hieroglyphs, rather than the cuneiform script of the Middle East.

True,
But Linear writting system is also connected with Lydian (Luwang) language and writting.
Linear B is also considered by some as the mother of Alphabets

I agree that all known alphabets go back to sinaitic codes (Εgypt) and Akkadian scripts

but Lydian logograms and Akkadian could be connected?
