Hi,
I have received an Ancestry DNA testing result from DDC DNA diagnostics center. It was an birthday present as I have always been interested in the subject.
Anyhow it turns out I have been Classified as R1b but no further breakdown. From reading on the internet i realize there are a few subclades, but do not know how to work out which one I fit in ?
I have tried a few databases but get a zero match ? If anyone can point me in the right direction to work it out or can shed any light on my results (shown below) that would be great.
Many thanks in anticipation

My Y-STR results are as follows:
DYS456=16
DYS389i=12
DYS390=23
DYS389ii=28
DYS458=17
DYS19=14
DYS385 a/b=11 14
DYS393=13
DYS391=11
DYS439=12
DYS635=24
DYS392=13
y gata h4=11
DYS437=15
DYS438=12
DYS448=19

It will be difficult to tell what subclade you fit in with best without a SNP test. If you take a look at the ISOGG R Tree you will be blown away by the size of the R (and it's descendants) haplogroup.

Many thanks for the reply.
Yep Blown away is an understatement!!!

My test results are pretty meaningless in light of how many subclades there are.

Thanks again
Cheers
