Till now I have seen that U5 and W might be associated with Finnics (W) and with Finnics and Ugrics (U5).
Anyone have other observations?

doubt it

recent paper on austrian/italian alpine areas had U5 coming second to K1 for the number of people tested............IIRC U4 came 3rd

Yeah U5 is pretty broad, that said there is a group of U5b that is very much associated with the Saami i think. And U5a tends to be stronger in the north of Europe and U5b in the south-west, i think.
