strange the non-Afrrican ancestry is dated 23 ka, while there is no archeological evidence for that time

there is the Ibero-Maurusian dated 21 ka in the Atlas Mountains wich could be a SW Asian intrusion, with blade lithics
but there is no Y-DNA which could be attributed to the Ibero-Maurusian
as for mtDNA U6 and M1 could be candidates, but now U6 appeared to be 35 ka or older
is there more known about expansion time and distribution of mtDNA M1 ?

Interesting that the French and English/British have east-Asian marker while the Germans and Italians have none ( nearly none )

The East Asian marker is actually Hazara, so all Europeans get it in greater amounts than they would get "pure" East Asian.

Otherwise it just reflects the southwest-northeast cline in Europe. Table S6 has the percentages. Basques get 3-4%. Italians get 4-5%. French get 8%. Northwest Europeans - CEU and Orcadians - get 12-13% and Russians get 25%. I don't see Germans in the table but they are decently represented by the CEU numbers, as Finns, especially eastern ones, are by Russians since these are HGDP's North Russians.

The Eurasian components in that study:

Five IACs are found predominantly in Eurasia: (1) one with high frequencies in Central and South Asian populations that is colored red; (2) one with high frequencies in European populations that is colored light orange; (3) one with its highest frequencies in southern Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia that is colored dark orange; (4) one with its highest frequencies in Arabian populations that is colored brown; and (5) one with its highest frequencies in Central Asian populations of known East Asian ancestry that is colored grey.

So what is called "East Asian" is in fact just a common pan-Eurasian component and not an East Asian in the Far East sense;
