I have been searching and searching for more information on Z195 lately, as I have tested positive for it on FTDNA, from a Geno 2.0 kit transfer. (Geno2 shows "Z198" btw)

I see that Z195 is a subclade of DF27, a subclade of P312.

However, FTDNA shows I have tested negative for the following subclades under Z195: SRY2627, CTS4716, Z199, Z204, Z269, Z202, Z205, L165, CTS4188, PF6913, Z274, Z210, Z295, Z211, CTS4065, and CTS7768, and all of their subs, on the FTDNA tree. On the ISOGG Tree, also negative for these subs of Z195: S230(via Z220-), Z216(via Z27:cool:, M153, SRY2627, L165, and CTS4188...

Trying to find out where my paternal ancestors came from after the P312 and DF27 brances from ~2000-1000 BCE in modern Germany/France/Spain areas, via a chart I found online. I've traced my direct paternal ancestor to England in the 1600s, but not sure where they came from before there, as our surname is a 'place name', although it is said that the name was first mentioned after the Norman conquest of England from France in ~1000 AD, but then again it is a place name so...

I see that Z195 is a newer subclade from recent years. One chart I found shows it as a sub of Z196, however I do not see any test results for that subclade on my FTDNA Haplotree page..

Does anyone have access to recent studies on Z195, or any idea why I have tested negative for so many of the Z195 subclades?
