He's very talented.
There's a bit of a resemblance, but honestly, imo, he's too good looking to look much like Giulio Cesare.
I always thought Gianfranco Fini had a bit of him, or at least the same general type, although Fini is fairer, and the nose, although long, is a bit weird. Maybe that was an accident, though.
https://i.imgur.com/cZZ5UTB.png
Maybe a bit of Marchese Emilio Pucci too, in the coloring and the nose and the pride, although Pucci has a much narrower, more "Mediterranean" skull.

I would like to be in this resort hotel. What a beautiful place. What a wonderfully dancing song. These girls are beautiful. This girl in black pants and characterized as a gypsy is a spectacle.
EDIT: Unfortunately we don't have a beach and the months when the sun shines intensely here is cold. I'm not a big fan of the weather here in BH. In one day we can have all the seasons. Here a beautiful sunny day can end in a horrible storm. I don't think I'll ever get used to it. :sad-2:

His mother’s maiden name is Ogundeji.
Some web sites state that either Seal’s mother or Seal’s father is Brazilian. Seal has referred (https://youtu.be/NArzywuj9lc?t=223) to his grandparents being “half Brazilian.” It is not clear what this means.

@Yetos, I am fully aware of the music high schools and the Music Colleges.
Until 2 AUG there is a classic typical anual, 'warm event' (incident) in East Med waters,
this year everybody is gathered, Russia, France, etc
even from new world, carrier Eisenhower,
a forced new status maybe, outside international laws, for survive of NATO with both Greece and Turkey.
So in such cases war incidents are possible to happen

Good grief! The only beautiful people I saw there were the Saletini.
The models were ugly even by current runway model standards, and the clothes were even worse. Honestly, I don't get some of the French designers. Who the hell would want to wear those clothes????
And I'm speaking of someone who worked in that industry for a little while. You might get some people with too much money to buy them for the brand, but that's not how you make a lot of money. Most people won't wear it.

A wonderful combination: one of the most heartbreaking and beautifully crafted poems of Brazilian literature, by João Cabral de Melo Neto, turned into the lyrics of one of the most poignant and touching melodies of the Brazilian popular repertory, composed by one of its greatest composers, Chico Buarque. I first heard this song when I was a small kid, and it still moves me.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jF_YGEAeQgw
Another powerful interpretation of the song, in a very realistic movie on the plight of the poor landless peasants of Brazil, by the actress Tânia Alves:

This song is about the Spanish Civil War, and how the allies left spaniards under the boot of fascism. You can see in the newspaper the president of the republica española (minute 1:48) The rebels of Franco couldn't won the war themselves, they had needed the suport of Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and Moorish mercenaries. The nazis massacred entire towns without any estrategic value and without republican forces, like Gernica. Spain was the first country to be massively bombarded in the history, and the training field of nazi's war machinery. U.R.S.S. only helped selling weapons, and the spanish gold reserve gone to zero. In the other hand, the democratic spaniards appreciate the help of the brave soldiers recruited volunteered in the Brigadas Internacionales.

... the dhr in Beddhra / Beddrhu (beautiful) should be pronounced like the dr in the English word drawer (hard word for many ... lol), Even in some parts of Salento they have trouble saying Beddhra, they say Beddha instead.
Quattro (4) is Quatthrru, ... strong tthrru.
(In her ‘fimmine’ song, the choir pronounces 4 correctly)
The 'Red Apple', and the 'Red Apple tree'
There is a myth, both among Turks and Greeks,
The 'KIZIL ELMA' = Red apple is for the Turks, the ultimate of Turk legend for Turkish nation. some believe is Constantinoupolis as capital of world, some say other etc etc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKoYkl2_wTI
the same myth exists also in Greeks as 'KOKKINI MILIA' = 'Red apple tree'
Red Apple tree is at the lands of birth Ottoman Mohamet B
and a Greek king will push Turks there, and cut the tree , so they will be burned by the sun,
Nobody knows where is the red apple tree except the birds.
So the 'stone King' every year sends 2 birds from his tomb at Magnesia (Manissa), the era of Zeybek fiesta, to fly there to see if it is the allowed to wake, by God time,
if one bird returns then he will wake from his sleep as petrified.

They usually send it to me after 6 / 8 months.
I get a ticket every time I go back at the same traffic light, ... looks like I need some extra time before remembering that in Italy there’s no right turn on red, LOL

What a great find! I so envy people with this kind of musical talent. It's a gift. Tends to make me want to drop my choir memberships, though. It's embarrassing. :)
This is quite a different thing, different era, style, and not improvised, but it came across my feed. It's Connie Francis, an Italian-American singer of the 50s who hung on even post Beatles and the British invasion. Some of her songs have become iconic Americana.
Most people might just think: oh, nice voice, but what she does in those 2 and a half minutes would take years of practice and even then they couldn't do it,imo. She has incredible range, her vibrato is wonderful, her dynamic interpretation is fabulous, she glides on to notes to arrive at the precise pitch necessary, flows from light, high, head voice to deep chest voice in one phrase, and that "cry" rivals that of Patsy Cline and Kd Lang.
She was only 21 years old, and this is live. Poor thing, she had such a tragic life, but she was a fighter.
Who's Sorry Now? It's a cover of a classic.

Love is a many splendored thing: she has this sort of physical cue for herself that when she wants to go high and light barely letting her vocal cords come together, she brings the fingers of one hand together lightly. It's a great visualization technique for a singer.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbs8EfgE4EI
She also was one of the first to create a big cross over market for Italian songs. Some of them went to number one, especially in England for some reason.

Yes, that's the one I saw. Quite some praise from Primo Levi for the Greek Jews.
I've always been interested in the Jews of Salonika because a very famous and learned family of rabbis long resident in the Lunigiana, and who took as their surname the name of the capital (Pontremoli), returned to Salonika and all perished.
There's also a memoir of one of the Greek Sonderkommandos who participated in the revolt which is very moving.

I remember your image getting away
The ground was sinking beneath my feet
I gradually fell into the abyss
Unable to hold on to life
How could I dare to imagine
That I had something to offer to you?
Me, being a mature woman and you
Being in your prime
Years don't show mercy
All I beg of you is
For a night of love
I only ask for one more night
That you fool me again
I curse you so you can not cry
May your heart become a stone
May your soul lose its joy
As my body ages
All I beg of you is
For a night of love
I only ask for one more night
That you fool me again

Maria Farantouri singing Miki Theodorakis' "Mauthausen" (a concentration camp in Austria):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvNm0F8L96Q
The lyrics for the song were written by Iacovos Kampanellis who was imprisoned at Mauthausen and fell in love with a girl which he could only see through the razor wire between the men's and women's camps. After the camp was liberated, he looked for her for 15 years. He finally located her but she was already married. Here are the lyrics in English for that song:
How beautiful is my love
With her everyday dress
And with the comb in her hair.
No one knew that she's so beautiful
No one knew that she's so beautiful
No one knew that she's so beautiful.
You girls of Auschwitz,
You Dachau girls,
Have you seen my love, perchance?
Have you seen my love, perchance?
Have you seen my love, perchance?
We saw her on a long journey.
She no longer wore her dress
Nor her comb in her hair.
How beautiful is my love,
Pampered by her loving mother,
And her brother's kisses.
No one knew that she's so beautiful
No one knew that she's so beautiful
No one knew that she's so beautiful.
You girls of Mauthausen,
You girls of Belsen,
Have you seen my love, perchance?
Have you seen my love, perchance?
Have you seen my love, perchance?
We saw her standing in the frozen square
With a number on her white arm,
A yellow star over her heart.
How beautiful is my love,
Pampered by her loving mother,
And her brother's kisses.
No one knew that she's so beautiful

Beautiful and moving song. Thanks.
It also speaks to me because a distant cousin of my mother's died there. He was a resistance agitator working in the factories of Torino after the Germans took them over and were producing war materiel there. Like a lot of the inmates, he died of disease because of the conditions there. I'd have to look up the certificate we got, but I think it was typhus.
Mauthausen and its subcamps were specifically designed to exterminate through labor the political enemies of the Third Reich.

this Year Coronavirus does allow celebrations to happen
from the after WW2 history, 2 ladies had the priviledge to distinguish from commonality
1 is the Lady of Ro island
2 the other is the Lady of Marassia at Evros
Lady of Ro had a strange life, damned/cursed but also blessed
she had lived alone at the small island of Ro next to Megiste island at the complex of Kastelorizo (Castello+ριζα, At the root of the Castello of hospital St John Knights)
her life has become also a drama theatrical scenario, songs, documentaries etc,
She is only is the only person after 1920's that descend from the flagpole both the Italian at 1947-8 and later the Turkish flag at 1 SEP 1975 after a night cruiser operation by Omar Kasar.
She lived 55 years at a small island, from 1927 and everyday she raise and descend the Greek flag, no matter Dodecanese was at Italian occupation that time.
after the death of her husband 1940 she ask for her blind mother to come,
She lived 40 years alone at the island, the last habitant, having some scattered goats.
she was honoured by medals for participating at resistance and helping the Sacred band,
she was buried with honours of a veteran and her place is beside of the flagpole of the island,

He's a great singer and it's a song everyone wants to hear at holiday concerts; one of my favorites to sing as well as hear. I always thought it was best for a high tenor or soprano, but he gives it a different quality.

part of Lyrics
I am looking for you
I am looking for you in Thessaloniki in the dawn
Your glance is missing from dawn's colours
I am looking for you
I am looking for you with a violin and a moon
Dream, you and fiddle stick are missing
Since an empress's fate sowed me
An ancient Macedonian womb born me
I fight with an empty quiver during the winter
From the castle until the heart of Platamonas
Since on Olympus gods decided about it

I've always liked Shania Twain (Canadian or not, I think she should be an honorary American), and I like the song. :) It. like country more and more.
I don't know if you were thinking of it, but she's a perfect illustration of the point of the song Stuvane posted.
She had a harsh, difficult, childhood; through talent and sheer grit and hard work she dragged herself and her siblings out of dire poverty; had massive success, fame and riches, and thought she had the marriage of her dreams, only to wind up alone because the bastard had an affair with her nanny and good friend. If it were me, anger and bitterness would consume me, and you could add in depression too, all of which I do think she has suffered.
Money indeed doesn't protect you from heartbreak, although I suppose it's a little easier to bear if you don't have to worry about a roof over your head and food for the table.

Amazing Grace: incredible arrangement and performance by Pentatonix. In addition to their marvelous voices and hard work, they're great actors. Two of them are not religious at all, but you'd never know it.
For those who don't know: the song was written by someone involved in the slave trade in the 1800s who found God and repented. It makes the line about "My chains are gone; I've been set free" even more poignant.
It's a much beloved American song, and this group does it more than justice. It's on their new Christmas album. Who would believe there are no instruments other than their voices? You really should listen with earphones and wait for the crescendo.
What a horrible Christmas this will be with no concerts. The worst for me personally is that I will miss the Hallelujah Chorus for the first time in 20 years.

Little Drummer Boy: Pentatonix. This may be one of their Grammy winning ones. Wear EARPHONES and wait for the crescendo!
The human voice is a miraculous tool. It can even substitute for instruments. Also, what a range Avi Kaplan has: from tenor to basso profondo, and the sweetest sound. What a gift.

Always a little blue at Christmas but last night I got such a treat in this new community. All of a sudden I heard honking horns, sirens, and the blaring sounds of "Jingle Bells", created by more than 10 incredibly decorated and lighted fire engines, on the last of which sat Santa in a blaze of light, all preceded and succeeded by decorated police SUVs. They went very slowly so people had time to come out on our front porches. I was laughing and full of joy, as if I were a child again. It was so wonderful.

Gianluca has a velvet baritone to go with his good lucks, but Piero...Piero has an operatic level tenor. You can tell he's been studying all along. Stupendous breath control in "O Holy Night", which he makes look so easy while it definitely is not.

Samba de Uma Nota Só (One Note Samba, from Tom Jobim and Newton Mendonça), by Caterina Valente and Dean Martin. :)
Caterina Valente would have taken the Brazilian style "Bossa Nova" to Europe in 1959. From Wiki (https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caterina_Valente):
"Em 1959, tornou-se responsável por levar à Europa o gênero Bossa Nova, contribuindo para a popularidade dos ritmos latino-americanos naquele continente."

Serena D'Amato is one of the best. I've always liked her. I like Laura Boccadamo too.
I meant more the fact that I've never seen the older women who've danced it all their lives twirling and swishing their skirts so their underwear is showing. There's a "courtship" one where it's particularly "evident". That's partly what I meant by "show biz".
I came on this video years ago and saved it. Mother and daughter dancing. Imo the mother is infinitely better, and, in fact, more sensual. They really knew how to do it.

Lyrics
Lunatic fringe
I know you're out there
You're in hiding, and you hold your meetings
I can hear you coming
I know what you're after
We're wise to you this time (wise to you this time)
We won't let you kill the laughter
Woah-uh-huh
Woah-uh-huh
Woah-uh-huh
Lunatic fringe
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
'Cause you got to blame someone
For your own confusion
We're on guard this time (on guard this time)
Against your Final Solution
Oh no
Woah-uh-huh
Woah-uh-huh
Woah-uh-huh
We can hear you coming (we can hear you coming)
No, you're not going to win this time
(You're not gonna win)
We can hear the footsteps (we can hear the footsteps)
Out along the walkway (out along the walkway)
Lunatic fringe
We all know you're out there
Can you feel the resistance?
Can you feel the thunder?
Oh no
Hey-ey-ey

Selfless defense of freedom and rights
Justice comes at such a heavy price
One step too far and then you cross the line
Are you willing to make that sacrifice?
Chorus:
Will you stand up for what is right-Only the wrong survive
Are you afraid to fight- Only the wrong survive
Many of you won't even try- Only the wrong survive
The righteous ones always have to die- Only the wrong survive
Distorted lies, attacked from all sides
Another one who spoke out lost their life
Don't even try to rationalize
Why the righteous ones always have to die
Chorus:
Will you stand up for what is right-Only the wrong survive
Are you afraid to fight- Only the wrong survive
Many of you won't even try- Only the wrong survive
The righteous ones always have to die- Only the wrong survive
The innocent suffer so the wicked can thrive
On the millions of civilians who have lost their lives
Don't believe your leaders 'cause their all ****en lying
All the wrong people are dying
Enemy to many if you're speaking the truth
Hated even more if you're backed by the youth
Cut down in your prime just for even trying
All the wrong people are dying
Only the wrong survive.... x4
The innocent suffer so the wicked can thrive

Don't believe your leaders 'cause their all ****en lying
