Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed the U.S. for the crisis in Ukraine and radical Islamic terrorism and claimed there is “no true democracy” in America during a speech on Friday.
Mr. Putin said during a meeting with foreign journalists and Russian experts that the U.S. has failed to use its global power wisely over the past two decades, creating a new world order that is unilateral and unfair, The Guardian reported.
Mr. Putin again denied that Russia had sparked civil unrest in Ukraine, saying “Statements that Russia is trying to reinstate some sort of empire, that it is encroaching on the sovereignty of its neighbors, are groundless,” the Guardian reported Friday. When a British journalist asked Mr. Putin about reports of Russian troops stationed in eastern Ukraine, Mr. Putin ignored the question entirely.
During his speech, which Reuters described as a “diatribe … that was reminiscent of the Cold War,” Mr. Putin blasted American society and government. His comments including critiques of the electoral college, according to tweets from ABC News’ Moscow Bureau chief Kirit Radia.
“The bear isn’t asking anyone for permission. The bear is considered a strong and very traditional animal… [but] will not surrender,” Mr. Putin said according to Mr. Radia.

Of course it wont, Russia has turned quite self sufficient when it comes to oil and gas. It's quite united nationally and religiously speaking, and in it's conviction of believing the legitimacy of Russia on other Slavic countries.

there is not a cold war again yet, but at least there is a propaganda war

yes, this situation will continue for a while

Silly thread. Who is attacking the Russian Bear and forcing it to surrender?! It is a common knowledge that Russian troops are in East Ukraine and they already acquired other part of Ukraine, Crimea, breaking all signed pacts of nonaggression. Who is attacking who?
Actions always speak louder and are more truthful than any rhetoric!

You believe in what Putin says. I judge him by his actions.

Russia will not give Ukraine to NATO.
Ukraine do not belongs to Russia.
Ukraine do not have the intentions of joining NATO.
Ukraine do not need NATO to help them,to get rid of mercenaries from Eastern Ukraine.
Golden Horde could not beat Ukraine, neither the new Golden Horde ,Russia will be able to beat Ukraine.
People in Eastern Ukraine starts to see they have a very nasty life, under their "great" rebel leaders.
So do not be amazed if they will switch at traditional methods for fighting against invaders.
Mr. Putin should be more concerned about how to develop agriculture in Russia and motivate Russia citizens to work in agriculture.
If mr. Putin thinks he can do like Genghis Khan to attack other states,to steal from there food,he is wrong.
Poland and Baltic states,if they get some good weapons, will beat hard his Ugrian-Mongolian "great " soldiers,if they dare to come attack.
Mr Putin should remember how shameful defeat USSR army got in Finland.
And is quite clear Finland will jump to help Poland and Baltic states,if Putin wants to attack those.
So the bear should not try to extend his territory.
