Wasn't one of the Bonapartes engaged to a Polish Princess? I forgot which one it was. Was it Napoleon himself? Or someone like Lucien.

Voltaire was flirting with Queen Ekaterina II of Russia; by the way. Sent love letters to her for nearly 20 years. :)

Napoleon is the one who had an illegitimate child with Marie Walewska. Lucien was something of a Jacobite, and often at odds with his brother:
