Hello,

I allows me to create this because I did not find equivalent.
As a French, I try to compare my composition with other French. Specify if you can regions of origins of your ancestors; our country has had its share of invasions and settlements, the results should be varied and interesting!

So I begin:

Ancestors, in the paper: 1/4 Picardie (Aisne and later Somme, Nord, Ardennes), 1/8 Burgundy (Sa?ne-et-Loire), 1/8 Hautes-Alpes (Queyras), 1/8 Switzerland (near Freiburg and Murten), 1/8 Savoie, 1/8 Seine-Saint-Denis, 1/16 Auvergne (Cantal), 1/16 South Chile.

Hello,
I'm also french area Brittany, i made several test DNA (family tree dna) autosomal, mtDNA, Y-DNA.
My mtDNA originating Great-Britain, arrived at V or VI centuries.
For my percentages autosomal maternal, it is 30,5% British and Irish, 18% French and German, 1,5% Italian.

Hello,
Thanks for your message. You gave your maternal's side, but where's your father's side? You were test by 23andme too?
Best regards

You don't have Native American in you; if you are an ethnic French. That is an error in genetics on 23andme. Lots of French people come out with Native American results despite having no admixture.

Hi,

I have Native American in my admixture because my great-great grandmother was from Chile; so I'm not 'pure' French, I am 1/8 from Switzerland too.

You can prove that?

Yes,

by birth and death act, family pictures etc...my family tree is full rather.
Stop to reply here, you don't be concerned by this thread and the subject isn't for me to prove my own ancestors...

Hi,

I'm not 'pure' French, I am 1/8 from Switzerland too.

I dont think the word 'pure' exists in genetic terms ............ the beauty of DNA. Its been a long long journey and still travelling :)

I'm French Canadian, about as "Pure" as they get. Having done my genealogy, ancestrally all my genetic contributors are colonial time French Canadian. Both my paternal and maternal direct line crossed over from France to Canada at the first immigration on the new world circa ~1650, all other contributors in my genealogy are tracked back into the same Acadia region around the same time and come from french stock, all having french last names.

My paternal line comes from Le Puy in France... as that's where my last name comes from. I've been able to track my genealogy back to and get a genetic match to the following:

"General Raphael de Podio", "Commander of the Roman Cavalry", "grand chamberlain of the Roman republic", "Governor of Provinces of Lanquedoc and Dauphiny of Southeastern France 1033"

So much fun doing all this research.

Can you post your admixture? I never saw results for this region ( Le Puy in Haute-Loire?).
Good evenning :)
