Is there any genetic footprint of British presence and British rule in the DNA of Indian populations today?

There's an "Eurasian" community, descendents of British soldiers or traders with the East India company and native, usually low caste Indian women who are called "Anglo-Indians", but they're not very numerous. A lot of them left after the end of the Raj.

Merle Oberon, the English actress, was one of them but she never admitted it. Those were different times.
