Bronze age Gold spirals found in Denmark

Weird news. Sounds and looks fake. These little golden spirals should have been flattened after hundred years under the ground.

Many of the spirals appear to have been buried in a fur lined wooden box and were found in a big lump, while small bundles of three and four pieces were found within a few feet.

More like it. They look more authentic now. Boxes protected them for some time and they are really tiny too, and this helps keep the shape.
Now what was the purpose of it?
