I just saw this film last night. It's true that the film is rather predictable in terms of plot, but I don't agree with this rather negative review at all. (Granted, some of the problems with accents, locations, etc., obviously went right over my head.)

I was particularly impressed by the quality of the acting overall, but especially that of the three child protagonists, and most particularly of the beautiful blond boy, Lambert.
Most Americans won't watch films with subtitles. It's a pity because they miss a lot of good work.
