This one's been covered a lot.

Basically, they found four skeletons in a shop near the Porto Ercolano. The remains are those of adolescents and/or young adults, including a girl, who might have been trying to shelter from what was going on outside. Since there was a furnace in the shop it might have been a bronze making shop. It's so sad; they must have been terrified.

They also found some gold coins dated to 74-78 AD and a pendant, probably worn by the girl.

Even more interesting, to my mind, is the 4th century BC find. We don't have very many remains from that period to test.

It's the l’Ecole française de Rome (The French School at Rome), le Centre Jean Bérard, and le Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS). that are in charge of the Porto Ercolano site. If anyone knows anyone at those places I would urge you to urge them to contact the Reich Lab and see if they are interested in testing these and the 4th century BC remains.

This is the Porta Ercolano
