Seeds were baked into a clay rattle shaped like a bear's head. Babies haven't changed very much. :)

There are some nice pictures in the article:

"'We don't know what kind of stones these are, but we will be doing an X-ray to find out. The rattle is still working.'
The sensational find at the Vengerovo-2 archaeological complex dates to the third millennium BC - the start of the Bronze Age - making it between 3,800 and 4,000 years old, reported The Siberian Times.
And it even includes a special mark by the sculptor."

Archaeologists in Siberia have unearthed a 4,000-year-old children's rattle shaped like the head of a bear cub - and it still 'jingles'

Another find was a little bronze figurine looking like an incense stand.
Dr Molodin said the figurine was shaped like a bird, most likely a crow.

I think the crow implies the shaman who connects sky to earth.
