I saw this on the BBC and thought you should see it:

It's amazing. By looking at the activity of only 200 neurons it is possible to identify and recreate the face of any individual about whom a person or monkey is thinking. With that kind of technology mind reading is nigh. It's a short step from there to recreate dreams or any other imagined idea on a screen. It may be scary on a personal privacy level, but it could be great for artists, architects and designers, who could transfer their mind creations on screen in a few seconds instead of spending days or weeks recreating them manually. The forensic and legal applications, reading into suspects and witnesses' minds could also be terrific if used properly.
