I spend a lot of time in the Peak District and like to share my enthusiasm for the area on my blog, reports about my walks and places I visit, pubs, cafes and tearooms, and my experiences on public transport. I also take plenty of photos.

I hope you might like what you read and see - it's a beautiful part of the world:

Thanks. I'm planning a future trip to England with my trusty "The Oxford Guide to Literary Britain and Ireland", and that area is high on my list.

I have been for a couple of whole day walks (over 8hrs) at the peak district when I was on a 3 month working holiday in Nottingham. Of course this was many moons back. On one of the walks we encountered a huge bomb nearly totally buried in the peat (presumably from world war2). My host reported it when we got back home in the evening (no mobile phones then) We were later informed it was an unexploded one and was removed.

The moors offer a great ambiance of their own, a kind eery beauty walking through the wild pristine heights and views they offer. Nice memories.

I will go there one day and all around England. Being stuck in London for a long while does your head a lot with all of the noise, people, buildings and cars. This will be on my list too, I will also go to a pub and try out there cider/beer.
