Sanaa, J-L243 is a subclade of J2a. It is a downstream of J2a-L25>PF4888, unfortunately PF4888 branches are one of the least known or tested branches of J2a.

Anyone know anything more about H3Y? It is my mothers side Haplogroup. It is not in the description of H in the MTDNA description? Thanks - Robert
