According to Kabuzan, in 1719 the Russian Empire had no Roman Catholics at all (only 900 - less than one thousand - Roman Catholics in entire Russia within the 1719 borders in 1719).
However, by 1762 the number of Roman Catholics in the Russian Empire increased to 210,400 (again, data from Kabuzan), of which only ca. 1,500 lived within pre-1719 borders of Russia.
So all of that increase was due to annexation of new lands by Russia.
But which Catholic-inhabited area(s) did Russia annex in 1719-1762?
Polish-Lithuanian territories were annexed only in 1772-1795 and 1815.
