Napoli born British chef Gino D'Acampo has at least two television series on Italy which were made for British television and are available on youtube.

They're quite good, both in the terms of the main focus, local foods and ingredients and recipes for dishes inspired by them, beautiful scenery, and even a bit of history sprinkled in.

As I said, they're all quite good, but these just recently came across my feed.

In Sicily you can make a cannolo, and go see Etna, and then travel to the setting for "The Godfather".

A trip to Piemonte takes you to see a hazelnut farm and the making of chocolate/hazelnut spread (i.e. ) and out to get truffles.

This one is about Salerno and Paestum. He learns to make local pasta and visits the buffalo of Campania and sees mozzarella being made, but about 15 minutes in you also go to Paestum to see the remains of the majestic Greek temples.

Toscana: Wild boar ragu and see Chianti Classico being made at the Ricasoli Vineyards.
