I'm almost 5'6"(167cm), which was also my mother's height. That was tall for an Italian woman of her area and time, and she's told me she never wore much of a heel on her shoes when she went dancing. As contrast, my father's mother from the Apennines was over 5'10".
I've seen lots of families where an American diet heavy in milk and meat, and all the attendant hormones, drastically increases height (and weight, unfortunately), in succeeding generations. It didn't happen in our family, though. My brother is about 5'10, and my father was 5'9", the shortest of seven boys.
I emigrated here, so no milk or formulas for me, so I don't know what would have happened if I'd been exposed to that diet.
When I was in my teens and early 20s, and more superficial, I did notice if in 4" heels I towered over a man. Now I wouldn't give a damn. If it doesn't bother him, why should it bother me? My dad was 5'9", and there was never a tougher man in every respect.
shoes is 49

I don't think people should feel bothered by that anyway. The high heel was originally invented for the purpose to tower over people.
I dated a girl that was 6'0", I didn't care when she wore high-heels.
That's over and beyond the fact that looks or physical attributes shouldn't be the only consideration.
