What exactly makes Ossetian Iranic ?

Im curious as too why Ossetian-Alan has been marked as falling within the Iranic language family tree. Their haplogroups are R1B+G+J2.

Where did you took the data that ossetian have more R1b than R1a?
They are massively G and J2 anyway.And Y-dna actually has not a strict easily markable correlation with the language spoken or autossomal dna, don't let haplotardism convince you otherwise.

Ossetians are only partially descended from the Alan's if anything they are mainly descended from Circassians and not the Alan's. Yes I know we can't get too carried away with haplogroups but where there's smoke there's fire. No other R1B groups speak an Iranic language even Armenian is considered quite distant from the other language families.
I'm just wondering why it's considered Iranic and not moreso related to either Celtic or Germanic. Scythian is a poorly attested language.

Wikipedia states they have very very minimal R1A. DNA_haplogroups_in_populations_of_the_Caucasus
