    Dubya's State of the Union

I have yet to find any State of the Union speech from any president (since I started paying attention when I first started voting) to contain useful substance. These speeches are written for History herself. For example: Cutting back on oil by, what 2025 (I forget when he said) is a politician's...

Should foreigners be allowed to run for public office in a country?

Yes, but its pretty much career suicide for any politician to actively support such a thing nowadays.

How far do you think computers will advance? [graphics]

Based on what was shown at last week's E3 from Sony. The graphics from its Playstation 3 will be astounding. So I'd say we'll see some great images within the next decade

Debate Do you accept easily criticism about your country's system or government ?

I also believe that constuctive criticism is good. I also understand that not everyone will like a country for whatever reason. I've had discussions with several people (about 5 or 6) from different countries about the U.S. They all pointed out what they felt was "bad" about the U.S. but they...

Economy New Airbus A380: the world largest passenger plane

I agree, these behemoths are perfect for long-haul flights, but I think the airlines will see most of their revenue coming from the mid and short-haul flights. I think we'll see more smaller planes being sold for passenger flights and the A380's used more as cargo carriers than passenger...

    How tolerant are you ?

I voted for Political Extremists (left-wing and right-wing), drug-addicts (car broken into), noisy people, and people with criminal records (in-terms of serious crimes. It could be argued that since I've got a speeding ticket, I've got a record)

    Why we're a divided nation

I'm improving in regards to conversations, which is why I do a lot of reading. I'd twist in the wind also. :D But at least we could talk about eupedia.com, right??? :balloon:

    Why we're a divided nation

$.02 I think part of the problem also is us as individuals. Prior to the election, I can't count how many times I was asked who I was going to vote for. Not only was I asked by friends and family, but strangers in stores. depending on how I responded, their reactions were to either be friendly...

What do you think of homosexuality (and gay marriage) ?

One could argue that gay marriage could provide an boost to the new economy as more marriages are planned, catered, locations rented, gifts purchased, new households created, new furniture purchased, etc. Of course the divorce rate would probably increase also, so that would mean new households...
