They are probably not legit, at least not in the academic sense, where samples are traced through fact checked geneologies. Plus, a lot of posters on that website push openly certain agendas so their motives are not transparent or open to peer-review scrutiny like samples in academic papers are.

I think that some of these Turkish samples, like the one from Kavala and Alexandroupoli, have been added by Apricity user Kaspias. They are not from academic sources afaik, but from his own personal collection.
