    Y-dna and Assault

Content Warning: Discussion may include harsh topics I wonder if there are any Y-dna haplogroups whose main vector of transmission is via assault. Such Y-chomosomes would contain mutations that impair psychological development, making it so the carrier doesn't develop a...

    Hitler's Y-DNA?

Wait, weren't ancient egyptians bringing many sub-saharan african men to be mercanaries? And, there was also African coming to europe for a long time, via the nautical trade routes. Y-dna is like that, one man can completely change the composition, since each man has a larger reproductive...

Did ancient South Indians used to have curly hair?

It's just a thought that occured to me. The native Australians and Melanesians have curly hair; their copy of Trichohyalin remained relatively unmutated since they left Africa. Also, there are islanders in the Indian Ocean that have curly hair, such as the Setinelese. Could it be that many...

    Female Infertility

    What do you mean?

    Female Infertility

My father's family are Heinz 57s. They marry women from many ethnic groups and locations. This infertility is found from as far back as can be traced. My dad's female paternal cousins and aunts all had it. His family is too large for this transmission pattern to merely be a coincidence. In my...

    Female Infertility

Then how come it is tranfered to all children? If it was autosomal, it could only come from one parent, the father, since women with it are infertile. That would mean any carrier male would be heterozygous. Only half of his daughter would be affected, and half of his sons would be carriers.

    Female Infertility

Every woman with my last name, in the same paternal line, is infertile. The mutation cannot be in autosomal DNA, nor XY dna. Is there any extrochromosomal gene-encoding DNA packet that is always transferred from father to child?

    Female Infertility

Are there any genetic mutations known to cause female infertility. All of the women in my paternal line, going back many generations, were infertile. Has anyone ever heard of such a case before? Where can that infertility mutation that affects only women, and is somehow passed to every son and...

Why does almost everyone here a Y-chromosome.

That would be interesting. Such a situation could also possibly arise even if the mutation did not occur in the newly inhabited land. If the mutation only survived in a subsect of the original country, such as a family, it is quite possible that they could have all migrated to the colony. My...

Evolution of smell-does pork smell sweet to you?

I'm not annoyed by the smell of lamb or other meats. The smell of fish is only slightly annoying if its been in the trash for three days.
