    Society World Happiness Report 2018

Good explanations and comments from both of you. Thank you. Perhaps I was too focused on a few negative words like "lying" and "hypocritical".

    Society World Happiness Report 2018

I am sure you know the story of WWI in Belgium. Imperial Germany was starving your countrymen in the period of 1914 to 1918. There was ocean blockade by Kaiser’s army which took all the food from Belgian people. British tried to help but in the end, most of the help arrived from the other side...

    Society World Happiness Report 2018

It sounds much better Maciamo, but I do not agree with your comment about Americans being hypocritical towards strangers. I do not care which psychologist said that. My experience of living and working here as a stranger and as an American is very different from what you are stating. It goes...

    Society World Happiness Report 2018

So much generalization of people and countries here. Are you Maciamo sure that you are not talking about McDonalds America or TV America. What is up with you Angela and feelings in some of your posts? Who are the Mediterranean people? I work and know a lot of Americans of "northern...

Local migrations of Y haplotypes (subclades) in the Balkans

In this forum participant “eastara” already provided the link to the public Balkans Y-DNA group at FTDNA. There are Albanian, Croatian, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Serbian, Greek … people listing Y-DNA data and nobody is putting them on some type of “kill list”. Why would they? As pointed by Angela...

Local migrations of Y haplotypes (subclades) in the Balkans

To Hrvt22's point at the beginning of this discussion, why are national Y-DNA projects in some Europe nation projects closed to the public and in other are open? If your ancestors came from hills or lowlands, what is there to hide with Y-DNA on these national level projects? Wouldn't this...

Immigration What should Europeans do with illegal immigrants?

The problem is the treatment of these people (refugees) at their origin. So, we should focus on resolving the problem, and we will not have such overwhelming consequence. This seems to be the course of current action anyway.

Just found out that im i1-M227 .

Interesting idea and explanation Messier 67. But talking just about I1 is too broad, too high level. We have difficulty even explaining distribution patterns of some smaller I1 subgroups that are distributed both W-E and N-S. We likely have multi-stage migration events in time and tribe...

    Haplogroup I1 in Romani populations

    Good information eastara, thank you.

    Haplogroup I1 in Romani populations

It would make sense to first assess the situation for Roma people in the neighboring Turkey and Romania where their population is much higher than in Bulgaria.

Poll: What language did I1-bearing peoples speak most frequently before IE?

That seems very likely to me too. In that relatively short time of I1 revival and branching out, we see different branches of I1-M253 leaving traces of movement on the west and east side of Europe, going south in some areas and far East in others. It is in so many locations following different...

    Main branch maps by FTDNA

Yes, there is clustering function on FTDNA graphs. You can play with cluster size number on the graphs, but higher accuracy seems to be disabled. I still can't get any better graphs than what was displayed by I1a3 Young above.

    Main branch maps by FTDNA

Hi Roberto1960, if you have tested with Family Tree DNA website, you can try there. Some groups there have very good mapping, accessible by the public.

Genetic traces of the Spanish Occupation of the Low Countries?

"Anyone with a brain in his head" that is your choice of words?

Genetic traces of the Spanish Occupation of the Low Countries?

Angela, I am not here to win some form of popularity contest, win the most points or sticker. I am also clearly not demonstrating the aggressive behavior.
